OUR MINISTRIES
The ministry departments of Rhema Word Deliverance Ministries are targeted and specifically desinged by Dr. Yarborough to meet the unique needs of each and every person.
Prayer
Prayer is the central and integral part of every Christian life. And Dr. Yarborough doesn't simply believe in instructing people to pray, but how to pray. He is not just the pastor that prays for the people, but one who prays with the people. He believes in being a servant both to God, and to God's people. Never hesitate to ask our apostle or pastor for prayer.
Elders / Seniors
Both of the Yarboroughs have worked in the medical field with seniors, and as such; are very familiar with their needs. The needs do not only extend toward the spiritual, but also toward the natural. They both are virtual experts at how to assist the elderly with accessing public assistance programs, Medicaid/Medicare, elder transportation, and the needs of handcapped elderly persons.
Sunday school
At Rhema Word, Suday school is something we consider a necessity. But unlike Sunday school at some churches, the classes are targeted to be age specific. This means that Sunday school is designed to be interesting and challanging no matter the individual's age, or level of biblical knowledge.
Youth
Unlike some other churches, youth is something very important to Rhema Word. So we want youth to not simply be spectators, but active participants in the ministry. This is why there are ministerial training programs for youth as wells as programs to assist with college preparation, transition into young adulthood, teenaged pregnancy counceling, and much more.
Music
Music is a bit different at Rhema Word. That is because we believe that virtually no genre of music is off limits as long as the Lord is glorified. You will hear "old school" traditional gospel, contemporary music, Christian rock, even Gospel hip hop. There is a style of music involved in our praise and worship to fit nearly every taste, and to fit every generation.
Community service
Community service is a huge part of our ministry. We constantly have projects we are working on to care for the homeless, veterans, single parent homes, disabled, elderly, youth mentorship, prison outreach, sick and shut in minstry, etc. We don't believe in being mere community residents, but in being community active.
